Lot of two letters includes: ALS, 4.75 x 8, no date, on The Lambs, New York stationery. In part: 'Please pardon the long delay in answering your courteous request for my autograph. Thanks for your interest. Sincerely, Spencer Tracy.' The second item in the lot is a TLS, 6 x 8, 'X-8-1980' on her personal Katharine Houghton Hepburn stationery. Hepburn replies to a request to authenticate the above Tracy ALS and writes, in full: 'It certainly looks like Mr. Tracy's writing. The Lambs is an actors-entertainers club. I would judge the letter to be a rather early one. Katharine Hepburn.' Accompanied by Hepburn's original mailing envelope. Both letters have large bold signatures. In fine condition. RRAuction COA.
