TLS signed 'Mayling Soong Chiang,' one page, 8 x 10, Headquarters of the Generalissimo letterhead, February 23, 1940. Letter to The Golden Rule Foundation. In part, 'I shall shortly send for your personal library a copy of the China edition 'China In War and Peace.' It is printed on bamboo paper and bound in silk to look like a Sian book.' She adds a handwritten postscript, 'since dictating this letter, I have read Mrs. Lindbergh's article which came this morning. I find it most interesting. M. S. C.' In fine condition, with trivial toning, a few creases and a couple pencil marks. RRAuction COA.
