DS as president, one page, 14.5 x 18, March 26, 1869. President Grant promote's William C. Emory to the rank of Master in the Navy. Signed at the bottom in black ink by Grant and counter signed by his Secretary of the Navy. Matted and framed with a small plaque (affixed to the outside of the glass) to an overall size of 18 x 22. In very good condition, with scattered light toning and soiling, document fold through light but legible signature, intact seal and some light spotting.
