TLS signed 'T. Roosevelt,' one page, 8.5 x 11, Republican State Committee letterhead, October 10, 1898. Short letter to a gentleman. In full, 'I am extremely sorry not to do anything they ask but I am up to my ears in work and have refused certainly two hundred requests to speak.' Roosevelt adds in his own hand, 'I couldn't do anymore. How are you anyhow?' Matted and framed with two photos of Roosevelt at Redlands, to an overall size of 23 x 19. In fine condition, with expected folds, one through first letter of last name of signature and a bit of mild edge toning. RRAuction COA.
