In part, 'It would be very pleasant to have your mother with us while you are sick, but I don't see how it can be done. I have not the money at present to provide for her transportation from the East...I do not apprehend that you are going to have as serious a time during your confinement in the spring as you had before...We have four reporters in the Jpurnal, and two besides myself on editorial work.'
