She petitions George Washington University “to be relieved of the Art and laboratory science requirements.” She explains her reasons and gives details of courses she has previously taken that she believed would satisfy her requirements. In part, “Art was my minor in the past 3 years, 2 sp ent at Vassar and one at the Sorbonne, I have taken 18 hours of classroom art courses…which taught us…theories of color and composition…the critics, the painter’s lives…last year in Paris I studied 19 & 20th century French painting and took courses in Aesthetics.” She argues that the science course at Vassar fulfilled her science requirement. She adds, “I would be most disappointed if I were unable to graduate this year.” Nicely signed on the front “Jacqueline Bouvier,” adding her education information.
