ALS signed 'Hirschfeld,' one page, 8 x 11, personal letterhead, June 25, 1980. Hirschfeld shows his wit to a collector. In part, 'I should be delighted to autograph whatever books of mine you may have in your library. If I have previously answered your note, merely put a match to any corner of this note and forget the whole thing.' Letter is attached to an identical size piece of heavier stock. In very good condition, with reattached bottom edge, show through from adhesive on reverse and some light soiling.
