Founder of the American Red Cross. Vintage 7 x 9 portrait photo, signed in ink, 'With the sincere regards of Clara Barton, St. Petersburg 1902.' In fine condition, with some scattered light soiling and creasing to borders, almost all of which could be matted out and a small area of surface loss to top left corner. Very uncommon in signed photographs; this one would mat and display very nicely. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from University Archives' John Reznikoff.
