Sportscaster who would christen a legend when he thus began his report on a 1924 Notre Dame matchup: 'Outlined against a blue-gray October sky, the Four Horsemen rode again...' Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen 'To Basil Aconner, with affection and respect, Grantland Rice 8/23/37.' In fine condition, with photo affixed to its original matte backing, which could be trimmed off. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Mike Gutierrez.
