DS, one page, 8.5 x 14 folded, Artist's Contract And Release, November 4, 1916. Contract between Barnum and Baily and '4 Melillo Sisters,' signed by John Ringling in black fountain pen on behalf of Barnum and Bailey. The sisters were hired as an acrobatic contortion act, '4 ladies assisted by Mr. Melillo.' Also signed by their manager, Salvador Melillo. In very good condition with a few fold separations, scattered light creasing and soiling to the back panel, none of which affects the fine signature.
