Very desirable set of four limited edition color satin-finish 11 x 14 cibachrome photo prints of John Lennon by photographer Bob Gruen, taken on a New York City rooftop on August 29, 1974, during a photo shoot for Lennon’s fifth solo album Walls and Bridges. All the photos depict Lennon looking directly into the camera from an up-close angle, with two of him wearing glasses, and each numbered, titled, and signed in the lower border in silver ink by Gruen, “27/150, John Lennon, NYC, 1974, Bob Gruen, NYC ‘90.” In overall fine condition, with some tape adhesive to reverse edges of prints. Accompanied by laminated certificates of authenticity from the “Bob Gruen Rockers Collection” for three of the prints.
