Two years after leading the American League in losses, Don Larsen had his finest season. In his second year in the Yankees' rotation, he went 11-5 with a 3.26 ERA. His most famous achievement came at the close of the season, when he threw a perfect game against the Brooklyn Dodgers in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series—the only no-hitter in Series history.
