Congressman Ralph Harding's limited edition pewter trophy cast by sculptor Michael Ricker, awarded for the 4th Jerry Ford Invitational celebrity pro-am golf tournament in Vail, Colorado, in the summer of 1980. The trophy, featuring the figure of Gerald Ford mid-swing beside a tree and set upon a wooden base, measures an overall 6.5 x 8 x 5.5. An engraved plaque reads: "Low Team, 4th Jerry Ford Invit. Golf Tournament, Vail, Colorado 1980, Ralph Harding." The back of the pewter casting is marked "12/15" and engraved with the artist's signature, "Michael Ricker." Includes a letter from Ricker to Harding, dated August 15, 1980, congratulating him on his "recent success in the Fourth Annual Jerry Ford Tournament," and enclosing certificates of casting (noting that the trophy was cast in a limited edition of 15) and appraisal (valuing the piece at $450). Also includes a pamphlet about Ricker's work. In fine condition.
