Counter check, 7.25 x 3.25, filled out and signed by Pulitzer, "Joseph Pulitzer, Pres't," payable to American Exchange National Bank for $10,000, May 13, 1889. In very good condition, with Pulitzer's signature canceled in red ink, scattered smudging to ink, and general handling wear. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
