Very desirable pairing of original Haight-Ashbury intersection street signs, both 23.75 x 8.75, with upper metal sign reading, "1500 [right arrow], Haight," and lower metal sign reading, "600 [right arrow], Ashbury." Both signs are screw-mounted to individual wooden boards, which are neatly affixed together to an overall size of 36.5 x 22.5. In overall very good condition, with expected wear and rust from age. The Haight-Ashbury district is regarded as one of the chief locales of the 1960s hippie movement, with the counterculture crusade, the 1967 Summer of Love, and a variety of influential 1960s psych bands now synonymous with San Francisco and the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. A fantastically appealing vintage rock n' roll display piece.
