Two AQSs from Bryant's great poems: one from 'Invitation to the Country' on an off-white 4.75 x 2 slip, in full: " 'No pampered bloom of the greenhouse chamber / Has half the charm of the lawn's first flower,' William Cullen Bryant, New York, March 17th 1864"; and one from 'The Battlefield' on an off-white 4 x 3 slip, in full: "'Truth, crushed to earth, shall rise again; / The eternal years of God are hers. / But Error, stricken, writhes in pain, / And dies amid his worshippers,' William Cullen Bryant, Copied March 27th, 1871." In very good to fine condition, with trimmed edges to both, and staining to one.
