Collection of unpublished Prince photographs, including three photos and one slide from his 1993 Paisley Park KMOJ Benefit Show and seven photographs from the 1994 VH1 launch in London:
Set of three original color glossy photos, 5 x 7.25 and 7.25 x 5, depicting Prince performing at a benefit show for local radio station KMOJ at Paisley Park studios on July 12, 1993. Each photo shows Prince wearing a flashy striped suit with open chest in front of the microphone; two photos depict Prince playing his gorgeous deep blue Cloud guitar, and another shows Prince standing with a hand to his ear and a horn section playing in the background. Reverse of each photo bears Dana Press/Georg Lukas and Pica Pressfoto credit labels. The photos were originally taken by Stefan De Batselier. Also includes a rare color 2 x 2 London Features transparency slide of Prince from the show, showing him in a full-length pose with golden striped suit and holding his purple Cloud guitar, with caption text attributing the photo to Stefan De Batselier. In overall very fine condition. The consignor notes that while the transparency slide image was published in a 1996 Japanese magazine, the other photos have not been published in print media.
Rare collection of seven unpublished color satin-finish photos, 4 x 5.75 and 5.75 x 4, each depicting Prince during his performance at the relaunch of the VH1 Music Channel at the Roundhouse in London on September 30, 1994; the images show Prince wearing a white loose tasseled smock top bearing the words, "The Exodus Has Begun," and matching trousers and shoes, an oversized golden chain, and holding an elaborate gold and Perspex cane. In overall very fine condition. Accompanied by a sealed Prince 'Letitgo' single cassette, released shortly before Prince's VH1 appearance.
