Silver-plated brass mouthpiece made for Dizzy Gillespie by Al Cass, etched on the back of the rim, "Al Cass for Diz," and on the shank, "Happy New Year, Al & Al." In fine condition. Provenance: Family of Al Cass, Guernsey's, 2005. The "Al & Al" inscription is apparently in reference to Al Cass and his assistant, Al Sesona.
