An assortment of early Prince publicity material, including: a three-page biographical press release about Prince by the Howard Bloom Organization, circa 1980, which begins, "At 20 years old, Prince is a one-man phenomenon who 'could become a solo Bee Gees of the libido' according to Stephen Holden in Rolling Stone"; a four-page guest list for Prince's show at the Ritz in New York on December 9, 1980, naming Keith Richard, Gene Simmons, and Paul Stanley as guests; two different circa 1978 ads removed from Record World for Prince's debut album For You; a circa 1978 newsprint ad for For You; a circa 1978 newsprint ad for the 'Soft and Wet' single; a February 1980 article about Prince from The Soho Weekly News; and a 1979 review clipped from the Los Angeles Times about Prince's debut at the Roxy, taped to Brighton Artists stationery. In overall fine condition, with folds to the ads and articles. From the collection of an early Prince insider.
