Known as the band that set the blueprint for punk music, The Ramones’ influence on the genre can still be felt in today’s music landscape. In 2021, RR Auction had the pleasure of putting Johnny Ramone’s stage-used and owned Mosrite Ventures II guitar on the auction block. This 1965 model was used by the legendary guitarist for nearly 20 years from 1977-1996, playing the guitar at every Ramones performance until his retirement. Not only that, but this guitar was used in the recording of all 15 studio and live albums from this time period. This punk rock rarity went for a staggering $937,500 at auction.

Check out Madonna’s MTV video music award for ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ from her third album True Blue. Famous for hits including ‘Material Girl’ and ‘Like a Prayer,’ Madonna was awarded this ‘MoonMan’ statuette for her win in the best female video category. The lyrical and video content of the song became a worldwide phenomenon and helped shape the sociopolitical landscape of the late 1980s. The ‘MoonMan’ is one of the most recognizable awards in entertainment culture, and the cultural importance of ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ adds to the value.

Regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Bob Dylan has made his mark in pop culture with songs like ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’ and ‘A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall.’ However, Dylan still had his humble beginnings as Robert Zimmerman in Duluth, Minnesota. An unprecedented, remarkable archive of 42 handwritten love letters from Dylan’s youth sold for an incredible $669,875 in November 2022. These love letters were written to Dylan’s high school sweetheart Barbara Ann Hewitt.

Pieces associated with iconic music acts like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, and the Ramones are especially popular with our global collectors.

We are always seeking consignments for any sort of music memorabilia from autographs to stage-used equipment and clothing. If you have anything that fits our description, consider consigning it to us!
