Scottish educator and author (1883–1973) who founded the progressive Summerhill School in 1921. ALS, one page, 8.25 x 10.5, T. C. & E. C. Jack Publishers letterhead, September 4, 1913. Letter to Mr. Angus, in full: “Just a line to thank you for the delightful evening Harding and I spent with you all. Tell Mary I forgot to take away my bottle of ink. I may come up for it tomorrow night if I have time. If I don’t… ah well Mary may use it or sell it by auction.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature), and light soiling and scattered foxing. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
