An extremely rare oversized jointed aluminum fragment of the Hindenburg’s superstructure. Twisted fragment measures 7.5 x 7, with bolted hinge still slightly flexible. Fragment was retrieved from the wreckage after the airship hit the ground at Lakehurst, New Jersey, on May 6, 1937.
