We have shown ourselves that we can lick an almost insurmountable problem if we really want to put our mind to it. While these flights have shown potentially hostile nations that we have a lot going for us, they have also fostered a spirit of good will between us and many other countries. In short, lunar flights benefit us individually and as a nation in many different ways, both directly and indirectly. In answer to your question about participating in a particular type of flight, I can only say that with flights being canceled it’s a poor time to be choosy.
