Vintage circa 1973 ballpoint signature, "Love, David Bowie," on an off-white 2.5 x 3.75 slip, matted and framed with two images, a descriptive caption, and his 'Pin Ups' album to an overall size of 27 x 17. In very good condition, with heavy overall creasing; the album in the display has come loose, but could easily be reattached. Accompanied by a typed provenance statement from the original recipient, in part: "In August 1973 at the age of fourteen I visited Paris with my school. On the return journey we spotted David Bowie at Calais. We were unable to meet him on the cross channel ferry, but were both surprised and delighted to find him on the train from Dover to London. Angie Bowie was with him, and as he was sleeping, she very kindly woke him up to sign autographs. He was charming and asked us about our visit to France. I think he had been in France recording 'Pin Ups' and preferred the train to flying." Also includes a ticket stub from Bowie's concert at the Empire Pool, Wembley, on May 7, 1976.
