Space Shuttle Altitude/Vertical Velocity Indicator (AVVI), measuring 3.5˝ x 7.75˝ x 9˝, designed to display the altitude and altitude rate of the Space Shuttle, with a bank of four meters indicating "FPS2," "FPS," "FT/NM," and "FT." The front bears a United Space Alliance label, and the rear bears a Malwin Electronics Corp. label, reading: "PN 1700-1, Ser. No. 12, PO#88260, AVVI Indicator." The perimeter of the face bears several swatches of affixed Velcro. A counter on the rear indicates a runtime of 2152 hours. A desirable piece of the Space Shuttle's avionics system.
