Description

Unusual debate pamphlet from Bush vs. Clinton—the first televised ‘town hall’ debate

Uncommon program for the second 1992 Presidential Debate, held at the University of Richmond on October 15, 7 x 10, signed in ballpoint on the title page by George Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barbara Bush. Also bears a presentation inscription on the preceding page by L. Douglas Wilder, then-governor of Virginia. In overall fine condition, with scattered light creases to covers. This was the first-ever presidential debate conducted in a ‘town hall’ format, and the 1992 series of debates was also unusual in that three candidates were invited, with Ross Perot joining Bush and Clinton on the nationally televised stage. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
