A 7 x 8.25 swatch of Beta cloth bearing a printed 3.25-inch diameter Apollo 17 mission insignia, signed below the insignia in black ballpoint, “’Not the end but just the beginning’ Gene Cernan, Apollo XVII CDR.” Cloth also bears a December 19, 1972, Houston, Texas postmark, as well as two 8-cent postage stamps.
