Color first edition of the Apollo 12 Lunar Orbit Chart, 41 x 12, dated October 8, 1969, displaying areas in darkness and earthshine, lunar sunset and sunrise terminator lines for the 1st and 45th revolutions, and a wide assortment of lunar landmarks and regions. Titled in the lower right corner, "Apollo Lunar Orbit Chart (ALO), Apollo Mission 12, Revolutions 1, 18, 19, 38, 39 and 45, 14 November 1969 Launch Date." Lithographed by ACIC 10-69, and prepared under the direction of the Department of Defense by the Aeronautical Chart and Information Center. Rolled and in very good to fine condition, with multiple vertical folds, and creasing to the upper left top border. From the personal collection of Paul Kruppenbacher, a member of the NASA Houston Landing and Recovery Division who trained Apollo astronauts in water recovery procedures and was deployed on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers for crew and spacecraft recovery operations.
