Back To Previous Page
(we are no longer accepting bids on this item)
Minimum Bid: $200.00
Sold Price: $245.00 (includes buyer's premium)

Two items: an ALS signed "Ken Mattingly," penned on both sides of an off-white 5 x 3 card, no date, addressed to "Rev. Norbutt," in full: "Congratulations and best wishes on a real mile stone. During your period of observation aviation has progressed from a dream to the point when spaceflight is a reality. Our ability to capitalize on this capability is limited only by the imagination of our young folks and the wisdom of our leaders. Through all of this people and their values have not and will not change. Technology is nothing more than a tool we can use to implement our home-purposes and aspirations"; and a color satin-finish 8 x 10 photo of Mattingly posing in his white space suit with a lunar globe, signed in black felt tip. In overall very fine condition. Mattingly is difficult to find in holographic material mentioning the space program.
