Item 4562 - Apollo 16 Map Segments and Charlie Duke Signature Catalog 538 (Oct 2018)

Back To Previous Page
(we are no longer accepting bids on this item)
Minimum Bid: $200.00
Sold Price: $1,037.58 (includes buyer's premium)

Two items: a group of four lunar-flown map segments, trimmed from an Apollo 16 Lunar Orbit Monitor Chart that landed on the moon aboard the Lunar Module Orion, each measuring approximately 7″ in length, affixed to an 8.5 x 11 display sheet with an image of Duke holding an Apollo 16 Lunar Orbit Monitor Chart. The segments were the byproduct of the conservation process wherein the lunar chart had its edges squared-up prior to archival encapsulation. The second item is a black ink signature, "Charles M. Duke, Jr.," on a white 4.75 x 2.25 autograph card. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by an unsigned NASA lithograph of Duke posing with a lunar globe. The map segments originate from the Charles M. Duke, Jr. Space Collection.
