Description
Flown printed space treaty carried aboard the Apollo 12 Command Module Yankee Clipper, one page, 5.5 x 3.25, signed in black felt tip, “Alan Bean, Apollo 12 LMP.” The treaty, entitled “Agreement on the Rescue of Astronauts, the Return of Astronauts and the Return of Objects Launched into Outer Space,” was created by the United Nations in 1967 to describe circumstances for the cooperative rescue of astronauts. In fine condition. Accompanied by a handwritten and flight-certified letter of provenance from Bean, in part: “I hereby certify that the accompanying Agreement on the Rescue of Astronauts signed by me was carried to the moon with Pete Conrad, Dick Gordon and me in our command module ‘Yankee Clipper’ during our Apollo 12 mission in November 1969. This agreement has been in my personal collection since returning to planet Earth.” Pre-certified Zarelli Space Authentication.
