Description
Musical manuscript, done in scribal hand, on four pages of two adjoining sheets of 9.5 x 12.5 sheets of musically-lined paper. Titled at the top in Davis’s hand “Walk,” and an original ink profile portrait at the top as well, also by Davis. Manuscript contains 60 bars of music, done in pencil. Some scattered light creasing and soiling, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by a photocopy of a score featuring 60 bars of melody and chord changes. Previously unreleased, The Ghetto Walk appeared on the 2001 release The Complete In a Silent Way Sessions. Actual musical manuscripts from Davis are exceedingly rare.
