Description                           Estimate: $200+          

ALS, one page, 8.5 x 11, October 7, 1969. Somber letter to Mr. Bean, in full: "I fear all is not well. My father is very ill—& has been for some time—it is a difficult time—little work gets done—&, of course, it is nearly impossible to keep up with the mail. The worst is yet ahead—so if you do not hear for some time—wish us well. I wish you & all the children most well." In fine condition, with light handling wear. Philip Sendak passed away in June 1970.
