#353 - Chester Nimitz Estimate: $200+

Commemorative cover with a stamped cachet honoring the USS Snook (SSN-592) Skipjack-class submarine, postmarked at Pascagoula on its commission date of October 24, 1961, neatly signed in fountain pen, "C. W. Nimitz, Fleet Admiral, U.S. Navy." Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder. In very fine condition. Built by Ingalls Shipbuilding of Pascagoula, Mississippi, the Snook was commissioned on October 24, 1961, with Commander Howard Bucknell III in command.
