Creator (1924-2006) of the award-winning comic strip Frank and Ernest. (NEA, Inc., 1985) Original hand-inked one-panel Frank and Ernest daily comic strip by Bob Thaves, 17 x 4.75, indistinctly signed, inscribed, and dated in the lower right corner by Thaves. The comic shows titular characters are "Ace Tax[i]dermy Co.," with a humorous one-liner: "If you don't like the working conditions, wait till you hear about the retirement plan." Affixed to a 20 x 8 mount and in very good to fine condition, with Thaves's signature and inscription quite faded.
