Attractive circa 1994 color greeting card with dual images of Prince holding daisies with a central design of his ‘love’ symbol, measures 7.75 x 7.5 open, the interior of which features an ALS from Prince, who writes in purple ink and signs at the conclusion with his symbol. The handwritten letter, in full: “Noise 2 keep u cool. 10,000 wallpaper has no sound. Play soft music and think hard thoughts…Hope 2 see u soon…” Includes the original envelope on which Prince has written the recipient’s name, “Julia Valet.” In fine condition, with some light creasing.
Accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Valet, who writes: “I was dating the artist from 1993 to 1995. In the card, he references a music tape of self-recorded music he sent along with the card and his rare self-published magazine 10,000. Only one issue was published in 1994 titled ‘the BEAUTIFUL experience.’ I was on the cover of the magazine and had a fashion spread inside. In 1995 I became the GUESS girl featured in the international GUESS jeans campaign and commercial, in 1996 I was a Cosmopolitan cover girl and became an MTV Europe VJ from 1998.”
