Original patent lithographs for Simon Lake's "Submarine Vessel," six pages, 7 x 10.75, April 20, 1897. The diagrams feature several cross-section views of the underwater vessel and its motor. All marked at the bottom: "The Norris Peters Co., Photo-Litho, Washington, D.C." Includes the printed United States Patent Office specification sheet, seven pages on four sheets, which describes the invention as an "improved submarine vessel," with novel means for sinking, maintaining depth, and traveling along the bottom. In fine condition.
