Document from South Carolina, in part: "The Petition of John Mitchell, a Minor aged Sixteen years or thereabouts, Hereby sheweth, That your Petitioner is entitled to Personal Estate, which for want of some proper Paper to take charge of the same may suffer waste." Docketed on the reverse by Edward Rutledge, "Petition of John Mitchell that R'd Campbell may be appointed his Guardian, Granted." Mounted, matted, and framed to an overall size of 14.5 x 19.5, with a photocopy of the docketed reverse shown on the back. In fine condition, with light overall mottling.
