Original 8 x 14.75 wanted poster for John Dillinger, issued on June 23, 1934, by the US Department of Justice, featuring an image of him at the top. The poster offers a “reward of $10,000.00 for the capture of John Herbert Dillinger or a reward of $5,000.00 for information leading to the arrest of John Herbert Dillinger.” A physical description of the outlaw is below as well as additional information about claiming the reward. Handsomely double-matted and framed to an overall size of 14.5 x 21.5. In very good condition, with creasing and dampstaining. This large broadside-type wanted poster is a less common format and especially significant as Dillinger was killed less than a month later outside the Biograph Theatre in Chicago.
