Letter to Knesset Member Yitzhak Tabenkin, in part (translated): "Permit me to tell you a number of things not as a Government person but as one of the Pioneers, and I see it as a bitter responsibility to protest as a Pioneer to the Pioneers. The Pioneer Movement among us that aspires, and not in vain, to pioneering did not disappoint ever as it has in this great and difficult era. Where is the Pioneer Kibbutz movement in the absorption of new immigrants? The greatest event in our history has begun, the 'exodus from Egypt,' the in-gathering of the exiles; there are tens of thousands of Jews who are coming to us, they wish to settle the land, they want to build communities."
