Accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on untrimmed 12 x 10 animation paper, which is marked in the lower right, "KP, 81." Total character image measures 8.75 x 4. In fine condition. Mickey's Elephant marks the first and only animated appearance of Bobo the Elephant from the Mickey Mouse newspaper comic strip—an uncommon illustration of an early Dumbo precursor.
