There seems to be some indications we will get Star Trek on the air this fall and am looking forward to the challenge. Reference your convention, I would enjoy playing some part in it if schedules and work loads permit. Meanwhile, can you give me a date…The studio requires this information on out-of-town sorties…By the time I get your answer, I should have some news on Star Trek and on our projected work loads here. Let’s hope we can all get together; I would certainly enjoy it.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope and a carbon of the chairman’s reply, requesting a showing of Star Trek.
