CALENDAR GIRL: ANNA-NICOLE SMITH’s personal 1996 calendar with numerous notations relating to her court case, her shady psychiatrist, beloved son Daniel, and her outlook for 1997: “Get ready to kick ass!! this month & year”

Anna Nicole’s personally owned and notated 1996 calendar. This 16-month Anna Nicole calendar measures 12 x 12, with each month adorned by a ravishing photo of the actress. A total of seventy-seven days bear handwritten entries by Smith, mostly in felt tip, ranging from mundane tasks to career and court appointments. January - the first entry for the month, and year, reads, “Danny’s B-day.” Smith is of course referring to her son, Daniel, who passed away at her bedside in the Bahamas on September 10, 2006, six weeks before her untimely passing. Remaining notations read, “Saw lawyers, bankrupey [sic] pure hell,” and “P. M. started period,” adding an unhappy face underneath. Smith filed for bankruptcy in California as a result of a $850,000 judgment against her for sexual harassment of an employee. As any money potentially due to her from the Marshall estate was part of her assets, the bankruptcy court involved itself in the matter. February - Smith makes six mentions of a man named Ray, with a startling entry on February 24, “Ray threw a fit. Hurt me. But couldn’t get Dr. K. Feel bad to [sic].” Smith notes that she also will spend the next five days in bed. In 1996 Anna admitted to having had cosmetic surgery (breast enhancements) that led to recurring health problems and six surgeries to correct the problems, the mention of “surgery” on February 20, and the five days of bed rest, would seem to indicate this was one of those surgeries. The “Dr. K.” referenced by Smith may very well be Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, a Los Angeles based psychiatrist and a friend of Smith’s. It was Eroshevich who prescribed all eleven medications found in the former Playmate's hotel room at the time of her death. The California Medical Board is conducting a formal investigation into Eroshevich, concerning her treatment and prescriptions issued to Smith. Eight were prescribed to Smith’s lawyer and companion, Howard K. Stern, including chloral hydrate, the drug that was the most direct cause of Anna’s death. March - Smith makes two notes about going to court, including one on March 8: “court must be there!!”; four appearances at the mall at the end of the month; and the last two days reading, “Dr. K. stiches [sic] in foot. No pain stuff. ass hole,” and “Slept foot. lots of pain.” April - After two early doctor appointments, Smith notes that on Easter “Me, Daniel, Raymond, played Easter in apt. It was really fun!” Easter was followed up by four days in court, with April 13 reading, “T. V. work cancle [sic] till Sept. 1st.” Smith also planned a three-day trip to San Diego later in the month. May - First day of the month Smith notes “Movie start,” with rest of the month empty. June - June has only two notations, one at the top of the page, “Movie this month,” and on June 1, “The pest movie.” Smith filmed Skyscraper, which was released in 1997, although it is unknown if this is the film she was referring to. July - Smith’s lone notation is on July 12: “Examiner, 2:00 2029 Century Park East, 19th floor.” Address is for the Century Park Towers, a prestigious and famous residential and office building in Los Angeles. September - Smith’s single notation is for a morning fund raiser: “Aids, Leeza walkathon 8:30 am.” October - Smith reminds herself that Daniel is off from school on the 7th, and “read for book” on the 18th. She also adds, “I love Daniel so much,” on the 21st, makes five days of diet notations and on Halloween writes, “5:30 am Saint Joseph o no!” This is most likely another surgery to correct her botched breast augmentations. November - Smith notes that she needs to rest from November 1 to 10, and on Thanksgiving she simply writes “sucks.” December - Smith seems to be re-energized as she looks to the holidays and the new year. On Christmas she writes, “Please God let us have a great Christmas for Daniel” and adds on the left side, “Get ready to kick ass! This month & year.” Smith’s career would go through several more highs and lows after 1996, as she continued to pursue a portion of her late husband’s estate, taking her argument all the way to the Supreme Court, her reality television show, her transformation with the help of TrimSpa, the birth of her daughter, and the untimely death of her son. In fine condition, with light handling wear. A unique first-hand look into the sometimes glamorous, sometime tortured life of one of Hollywood’s most unusual and tragic celebrities. R&R COA.
