ALS signed “Truman” on the correspondence side of a 5.5 x 3.5 postcard, 1960. Capote writes to his friend Boris Groudinko in Leningrad. In full: “I wonder if you received a letter I sent from Spain? Am spending the winter at the above address, and perhaps will come to Leningrad in the spring. Hope this finds you well.” Accompanied by a handwritten note from Nancy Ryan to Groudinko, mentioning the publication of Capote’s book about his Russian trip, as well as another postcard to Groudinko from an unidentified sender. In very good condition, with skinning to postcard from stamp removal, pencil scribble to pictorial side, and light handling wear with small edge tear touching text. The writing is dark and distinct.
