Description

From Hiroshima to the moon: Limited edition print signed by fifteen American aviation pioneers, including Neil Armstrong

Remarkable limited edition 25.75 x 24.5 print titled Great Moments in Aviation History, numbered #14/1100, signed in pencil by the artist, William J. Reynolds, and fifteen important figures in American flight: George A. Vaughn, Jr., Leigh Wade, James H. Doolittle, Curtis E. LeMay, George Gay, Joe Foss, John W. Mitchell, Charles E. Yeager, Gail S. Halverson, Paul W. Tibbets, Frances S. Gabreski, Pete Knight, Michael J. Novosel, Robin Olds, and Neil Armstrong. The consignor notes that this first edition (1982) of the Air Command and Staff College prints was the only edition signed by Armstrong. In fine condition, with scattered light bends and surface impressions, a few marginal pinholes, tear to top margin just touching image (tape repair on reverse), and a few spots of subtle soiling, most of which can be easily matted out, and none of which detract from the striking presentation. COA Scott Cornish and R&R COA.
