Canadian-born British physician and educator who was known as the most brilliant teacher of medicine in his time. His Principles and Practices of Medicine (1892) was an influential textbook. Endorsed check, 7.5 x 3.25, filled out in another hand and signed “W.Osler” on the reverse, in the amount of 2-2-0, June 5, 1906.
