TLS signed 'Errol,' three pages, 8 x 10, Savoy Hilton Hotel letterhead, July 3, 1952. Very interesting letter to his accountant, Albert Blum, touching on several sensitive subjects regarding his schedules, expenses and television income. In part, 'You understand that travelling abroad in a foreign country I have large cash expenditures for which it is impossible to get receipts...yesterday on the phone I asked Mahon to contact you so that you could get together with M. C. A. and insist they pay me in the manner I specify...Warners, in their usual charming manner, have pulled a fast one on me. Park knows about it by now. They want me to work on Sundays. This after, purely in order to co- operate with them...While I had very costly and important matters underway in Jamaica, I had to drop them and fly to England in return for which I was assured that I would be through in seven or eight weeks. There was no mention, although they knew they were planning it full well, of any Sunday work...This is a lousy bit of sharp dealing and in very bad faith...Re: Thomson: I am heartened to think I am getting some action at last...He will have to go after Standard Capital as hard as hell to force an accounting of profits...According to my figure it should be 400,000 after those usurious bastards took 70,000 for the 50,000 we pried loose...I would like to make a deal to pay this out of my 'Against All Flags' earnings...Please keep me advised of everything old boy and for Christ's sake keep my expenses down to less than the bearest minimum!.' He has also initialled a typed postscript and added a notation to a line of text. In fine condition, with some light creasing, toning to top page and some staple holes in top left corner.
