Poet best known for his poems of childhood 'Wynken, Blynken, and Nod' and 'Little Boy Blue.' ALS, one page, 8 x 10, November 23, 1891. Letter to his wife Julia. In part, 'We have concluded not to have our Thanksgiving dinner until Friday in case you postpone your return until that day...Joan is no better, and John has begun to think she is coming down with Typhoid Fever. Little Julia's cold is disappearing, but she cried a good deal last night, and the result is that Ballantyne household is more or less of a wreck today.' Letter is affixed by its left edge to a larger sheet. In fine condition, with expected mailing folds. RRAuction COA.
