President Polk directs the "Secretary of State to affix the Seal of the United States to the remission granted to Arthur Hawkins, Master of the British Ship Arabian." Signed boldly at the conclusion by Polk. Handsomely double-matted and framed with a portrait and engraved plaque to an overall size of 23.5 x 22.75. In fine condition.
