Rare original color 8.25 x 7 handbill promoting six concerts at the Plaza Dance and Social Club on Rookery Road in Handsworth, Birmingham, between June 9 and 16, 1963, with the lower left featuring a “Coming Shortly” section that mentions the Beatles. The handbill lists concerts for acts like Peter Jay and the Jaywalkers, Danny Williams, Johnny Cymbal, and Mike Berry and the Innocents. In very good to fine condition, with some stains, creases, areas of thin paper, and a chip to the right edge. The Beatles played two shows on July 5, 1963, the first at the Plaza Dance and Social Club, and then later at the Plaza Ballroom in Old Hill.
